Care covered by insurance

Know your coverage before you book.

New Leaf partners with Headway to handle insurance verification, scheduling, and billing. Headway shows your estimated out-of-pocket cost before your appointment, based on your plan's benefits at the time of verification. Your final responsibility depends on your plan's deductible, copay, and coinsurance.

Looking for an online psychiatrist who takes your insurance?

Emily Light is not a psychiatrist. She is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, PMHNP-BC, licensed in Florida, and in most plans a nurse practitioner is covered under the same behavioral health benefit as a psychiatrist.

That matters more than the job title does. She can evaluate you, diagnose a condition, and manage medication, no referral is needed, and every appointment is by secure video from anywhere in Florida. The plans below are the ones this practice is in network with through Headway.

The anatomy of an estimate

What determines what you actually pay.

Three things set your estimated cost. Headway works them out from your plan when you verify coverage.

A.Deductible
What you pay for covered services before your plan starts sharing costs. Resets each plan year.
B.Copay
A fixed amount for each visit (e.g. $20 or $30) that some plans apply instead of or alongside coinsurance.
C.Coinsurance
The percentage of the visit cost you pay after you've met your deductible. Common ranges: 10–30%.

Estimated costs are just that: estimates. Your final responsibility depends on your plan’s actual benefits and claim adjudication. Contact Headway with any billing or refund questions.
