Yes, you can see a psychiatric provider by video in Florida. State law lets a licensed provider assess, diagnose, and treat you that way, and holds them to the same standard as an office visit. The rules sit in Florida Statute 456.47. What matters when you are choosing is whether that provider is licensed to treat you here, and you can check that yourself.

What psychiatric care costs in Florida without insurance.
At New Leaf Mental Health, the initial psychiatric evaluation is $300 and a follow-up visit is $150, as of August 2, 2026. Paying out of pocket is a normal way to get psychiatric care, and it is often easier to predict than using insurance.
